Preserving Nature's Balance

Sustainable Reforestation Project

We're excited to share our partnership with the Jari Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to transformative actions in the Jari Valley regions of Northern Brazil.

Our current mission revolves around planting 10,200 hectares, approximately 25,204 acres, with 50-60 Brazil nut trees per acre. This project aims not only to preserve biodiversity but also to have a positive impact on local communities by creating job and income opportunities.

    Reforesting Brazil Nut Saplings

    The Brazil Nut tree, a towering giant with a lifespan of 500 to 1,000 years, produces hard-shelled fruit pods, weighing up to 4.5 pounds, housing nutrient-rich seeds harvested in a unique nocturnal dance with specific pollinator bees, contributing not only to the Amazon's ecological balance but also holding cultural and economic significance for local communities.

    The Jari Valley

    The Jari Valley region is located in Northern Brazil, in the state of Amapá,  along a major watershed of the Amazon River. The Valley is home to over 2,000 rural families and is a major conservation area for over 100 endangered species. These endangered species are protected thanks to the preservation projects of the area.

Deforestation, standing as the second-largest source of greenhouse gas emissions after fossil fuels, poses a threat to over ten thousand species of Amazonian plants and animals. Indigenous groups, including an estimated 100 of the world's last uncontacted tribes, confront displacement and encroachment on their territories due to illegal deforestation.
